Alicante Airport

Alicante Airport, being the major airport for Alicante province and Murcia region, is one of the busiest airports of Spain. It is located at a distance of 9 kilometers towards southwest of Alicante and mostly handles international passengers.


Alicante airport previously had two terminals. However, after the addition of a new terminal, the old terminals have been closed. This new and state of the art terminal became operative since March 2011, and is spread over an area of 333,500 square meters. It has 96 check-in desks, 40 gates; numerous air bridges and baggage reclaim carousels.

Alicante Airport is just 9 kilometers away from Alicante, and is well connected to Alicante, as well as a number of other close cities through the main A-7 Motorway and N-332. Buses and taxis are available at the airport. Buses are scheduled to run every hour to the Central Bus Station of Alicante, which has access to the different parts of the city.
